The bill (Reg. No. 4988) suggests introducing personal lapel badges (badges) that should be placed on the official uniform of each employee of the internal affairs body from among the enlisted men and senior officers. It shall also provide the possibility of identification of a person in case of necessity.

Committee members focused attention on the significance of the bill within the legal system of Ukraine, and unanimously stood for the necessity to adopt it.

The people’s deputies noted that adoption of the bill will allow simplify identification of employees of the internal affairs bodies and reduce the number of crimes in the field of official activities.
